March 15, 2023: The uncovered gap between scholarly publishing and science news for the public

In his guest post on the Scholarly Kitchen blog, New Ground – Open Access Beyond Scholarly Journals, Thilo Koerkel suggests that the large gap between scholarly publications on the one hand and reporting in press releases, newspapers, and popular science magazines deserves additional coverage. It is the very place where actual exchange between researchers from different bubbles happens.
